The cold wave has returned to Telangana, with temperatures expected to drop 2–3°C below normal over the next three days, according to the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre. Officials said the chill will be more intense during late-night and early-morning hours. Cold winds are likely to blow across Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts, prompting the issuance of a Yellow Alert. Authorities have advised elderly people, children, and those with health conditions to take extra precautions during this period.
Meteorological officials also warned that the cold conditions may persist for nearly a week. Several districts have already recorded sharply lower minimum temperatures. Adilabad registered 9.2°C, Medak 11.3°C, Hanumakonda 13.5°C, Ramagundam 14.2°C, Hyderabad 15.6°C, and Nalgonda 16°C. With temperatures likely to remain low, officials urge residents to stay warm and limit exposure to cold, especially during night hours.
