The intensity of the cold is increasing day by day in the Telugu states. Even wearing sweaters and blankets is not enough to ward off the chill. While the cold has been intense since the beginning of December, temperatures have dropped even further in the last two weeks. The recording of single-digit temperatures in some areas is causing concern. People are hesitant to venture out even until 10 AM, not just at 8 AM. Along with the severe cold, dense fog is also disrupting daily life. The Meteorological Department warns that the situation is likely to become even more severe in the coming days.
Weather Forecast for the next three days in Telangana
According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Center, lower-level winds in Telangana are blowing from the east-northeast direction. Due to this, dry weather will prevail across the state today, tomorrow, and the day after. In the next two days, minimum temperatures in some parts of the state are likely to drop by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal. As a result, the cold will be more intense during the night and early morning hours.
Three-Day Weather Forecast for Andhra Pradesh
According to the Amaravati Meteorological Center, winds in the lower troposphere are blowing from the northeast direction in Andhra Pradesh and Yanam regions. Due to this, dry weather will prevail across the state for the next three days. There is no forecast of rain in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema regions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. However, the Meteorological Department has stated that in the next two days, minimum temperatures are likely to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal in one or two places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema. It also clarified that there would be no significant changes thereafter.
Overall, the cold wave is expected to continue in the Telugu states for the next three days. Doctors are advising the elderly and young children to take necessary precautions.
