

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conducted a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat to assess the state's preparedness for the upcoming monsoon season. Senior officials from the Agriculture, Irrigation, Municipal Administration, Panchayat Raj, Health, Home, HYDRAA, Disaster Management and Fire Services departments attended the meeting. Meteorological Department officials presented a detailed report on rainfall forecasts, the impact of monsoon conditions, El Niño factors and other weather-related developments.
During the review, the Chief Minister directed officials to create awareness among farmers about drought management, crop diversification and cultivation of low water-consuming crops. He also reviewed the status of maintenance works at irrigation projects and instructed officials to complete gate repairs and other critical works on a war footing. Revanth Reddy ordered the immediate release of funds required for project maintenance, road restoration and reconstruction of damaged bridges. He further directed authorities to utilise the ₹1,000 crore Disaster Management Fund as per guidelines and ensure prompt response in cases of loss of life, property or livestock during natural disasters.
