Cold conditions have intensified across Telangana, with several regions recording extremely low night temperatures for the first time this season. According to the Meteorological Department, Sangareddy district reported the lowest temperature at 4.5 degrees Celsius, while Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district recorded 4.8 degrees Celsius.
Except for four districts, the entire state experienced single-digit minimum temperatures during the night. Northern Telangana districts, in particular, are witnessing severe cold conditions. Dense fog during early morning hours is affecting visibility, prompting officials to advise commuters to exercise caution while traveling.
Health experts have urged elderly people and children to take extra care as prolonged exposure to cold may lead to health issues. The weather department has also advised citizens to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during late-night and early-morning hours. Similar cold conditions are expected to persist over the next few days, according to forecasts.
