

Cold conditions have intensified across the state, causing severe discomfort to people. Temperatures are falling day by day and several districts have recorded single-digit minimum temperatures. According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, cold winds will continue to affect the state for the next two days. Due to this, minimum temperatures may drop by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius below normal.
Considering the weather conditions, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for several districts, including Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy. Cold winds are expected in these areas. People, especially children and the elderly, are advised to take precautions and avoid travel during early morning and night hours unless necessary.
The lowest temperature in the state was recorded at Patancheru, where the minimum dropped to a record 6.4 degrees Celsius. Adilabad recorded 7.7 degrees, Rajendranagar 8.5 degrees and Medak 9 degrees Celsius. Cold winds blowing from the north have led to shivering conditions across the state.
