

Araku Member of Parliament Dr. Tanuja Vinay met Rajya Sabha MP and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President P. T. Usha in New Delhi and requested support for a talented tribal young athlete, Korra Jeevanathanya. She urged PT Usha to assess the potential of the child and provide an opportunity for professional training at the prestigious Usha School of Athletics. Highlighting the athlete’s background from Araku Valley, she emphasized the need for structured guidance, nutrition, and scientific training to help her excel at the highest level.
During the interaction, Dr. Tanuja Vinay praised PT Usha’s remarkable contribution to Indian athletics and her efforts in nurturing young talent. She expressed confidence that with proper support, Jeevanathanya could emerge as a world-class athlete. Responding positively, PT Usha appreciated the identification of such talent and suggested that the young athlete be sent for the upcoming academy entrance selection trials in Kerala next month, assuring her consideration and support.
