At an Assembly media interaction, K. P. Vivekananda Goud raised concerns over the availability of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas, stating that inadequate supplies are causing inconvenience to the public. He criticized both the state and central governments for failing to provide proper reassurance and for not maintaining sufficient stock levels in line with demand, which could have prevented the current situation.
Drawing parallels with the earlier urea shortage that impacted farmers, the MLA pointed out a lack of coordination between the Centre and the state. He remarked that while even war-affected countries are managing supplies effectively, regions without conflict are facing difficulties due to poor planning. He emphasized that failure to anticipate shortages has led to the crisis and urged both governments to stop blaming each other and take proactive steps to resolve the issue.
