Harish Rao Demands Apology from Telangana Government

Former minister and BRS deputy floor leader Harish Rao has demanded that the Telangana government apologise to students and unemployed youth over the alleged humiliation of candidates who arrived for recruitment to HYDRAA driver posts. Reacting to the large turnout for just 150 vacancies, Harish Rao questioned whether the unemployment crisis was the fault of job seekers or the government’s failure to create adequate employment opportunities. He also criticised the alleged use of inappropriate language by officials towards candidates and questioned the government’s promise to fill two lakh jobs.

Harish Rao alleged that the lack of regular notifications has forced even highly educated candidates, including postgraduates and PhD holders, to compete for lower-level positions. He argued that the situation reflects the government’s failure to fulfil its employment commitments and said unemployed youth were seeking implementation of promised jobs, not sympathy. He demanded immediate disciplinary action against officials who allegedly behaved inappropriately with job seekers and called on the government to apologise to the student and unemployed community.
