Amaravati is gearing up for the inauguration of key infrastructure projects, with Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana inspecting the arrangements for the steel bridge inaugurations. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to inaugurate two steel bridges along with the second-phase Seed Access Road. The Chief Minister will also inspect the MLA and MLC Towers as part of his visit.
The two steel bridges have been constructed to improve connectivity to Amaravati. One bridge, measuring 110 metres in length, has been built across the Buckingham Canal, while another 280-metre-long steel bridge has been constructed across the Kondaveeti Vagu and Guntur Channel. With the opening of these projects, direct travel from Vijayawada and Mangalagiri to Amaravati through the Seed Access Road is expected to become easier from tomorrow. A specially designed pylon has also been planned near the steel bridge to create a grand welcome landmark for Amaravati.
