Israel has issued a strong warning stating that it will eliminate anyone chosen as Iran’s next Supreme Leader. The warning reportedly came after media reports suggested that Iran’s leadership might be handed over to Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the son of current Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Israeli officials indicated that any successor assuming that position would be considered a target.
Meanwhile, Iran announced that it launched hundreds of drones targeting U.S. military bases in Iraq and Kuwait. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also claimed that more than 40 missiles were fired at U.S. and Israeli targets. According to a U.S.-based human rights organization, at least 1,097 people have been killed in Iran amid the escalating conflict.
