Student Groups Call Telangana Education Bandh

Student organisations have called for a statewide bandh of educational institutions in Telangana the day after tomorrow. The protest has been announced over recent incidents involving police action against students and to press for several demands related to education and student welfare.

The organisations demanded an independent inquiry into the alleged police attacks on students, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the abolition of the National Testing Agency (NTA), and the immediate withdrawal of the VBSA Bill. They appealed to students and educational institutions across the state to extend support to the bandh.
