Traffic restrictions will come into effect near the historic Charminar in Hyderabad from today in view of the expected rush of devotees visiting the Bhagyalakshmi Temple during the Diwali celebrations. The restrictions will remain in force until the 11th of this month. Traffic police have announced the measures to regulate vehicle movement and prevent congestion in the busy areas surrounding Charminar.
The restrictions will apply to the Madina–Charminar, Murgi Chowk–Charminar and Shalibanda–Charminar routes. Commuters travelling through these areas are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes wherever necessary. Motorists should follow traffic police instructions and cooperate with the authorities to ensure smooth traffic movement during the festival period.
