YSRCP Is Resorting to Drama Out of Fear of Defeat - Minister Payyavula Keshav

Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav criticised YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of encouraging criminal politics and weakening democratic institutions in the state. Speaking to the media at Koukuntla in Anantapur district on Thursday, Keshav alleged that Jagan was the first Chief Minister to misuse election commissions for political purposes. He also referred to past incidents involving threats to election officials during local body polls and questioned Jagan’s remarks on democracy and elections.

Keshav further claimed that municipal elections were conducted peacefully after nearly four decades and that the people had delivered a decisive verdict. He accused Jagan of spreading false allegations by bringing national media representatives from Bengaluru. The minister also alleged that YSRCP workers were responsible for taking away polling boxes and attacking police personnel before making accusations against the police. He claimed that such incidents were being staged by YSRCP leaders out of fear of defeat.
