BJP National Vice-President Ram Madhav has criticised BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), describing him as an “iron leg” in politics. Speaking to the media at the BJP state office in Hyderabad on Thursday, Madhav alleged that leaders whom KCR had met during his efforts to form a third front at the national level had subsequently lost elections. He cited West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, YSRCP chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and KCR himself as examples. Madhav asserted that the BJP was the only strong alternative to the Congress in Telangana and said his party would expose the Congress government's alleged corruption, mistakes and failures before the public. He also criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he spent a considerable part of his time travelling to the United States and Europe instead of addressing the country's problems. Madhav further accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of neglecting governance and focusing mainly on visits to Delhi.
BJP Is the Alternative, Says Ramachandra Rao
BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao said that young people were joining the BJP after leaving the Congress and BRS. He claimed that people were looking towards the BJP as an alternative to the two parties, which he accused of following anti-people policies. Rao also stated that several leaders and party workers from the Old City joined the BJP on Thursday.
