The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has initiated efforts to resolve the deadlock surrounding their scheduled match against India in the T20 World Cup 2026. Sources indicate that the PCB has placed three major demands before the International Cricket Council (ICC) to end the impasse. After previously announcing a boycott of the match against India, the PCB has reportedly softened its stance following stern warnings from the ICC regarding potential consequences. In a meeting held with ICC officials in Lahore yesterday, the PCB reportedly put forward three conditions: Providing increased compensation to Bangladesh, who withdrew from the tournament.Paying the participation fee to the Bangladesh team despite their exit.Granting hosting rights for a future ICC event to Pakistan. While some officials within the PCB are in favor of playing the match in Colombo on February 15, Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has reportedly been uncooperative. He is scheduled to meet with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today to discuss the matter further and arrive at a final decision.
