In the crucial third and final ODI between India and New Zealand at Indore, the visiting team delivered an impressive batting performance. After losing the toss and being put in to bat first, the Black Caps posted a massive total of 337 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs.
New Zealand suffered an early setback as openers Henry Nicholls and Devon Conway were dismissed for ducks by Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh. Reduced to 58 for 3, the innings was revived by a sensational partnership between Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips. Mitchell smashed his second consecutive century, scoring a brilliant 137 off 131 balls with 15 fours and three sixes. Phillips matched the intensity with a superb 106. Their 219-run stand for the fourth wicket laid a strong foundation and powered New Zealand to a commanding total.
