Narendra Modi has called for the removal of the All India Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal, accusing it of misgovernance and hindering development. Criticizing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he stated that the state is falling behind despite the nation progressing on the path of development. Addressing a public rally in Haldia as part of the election campaign, Modi urged voters to support the National Democratic Alliance and bring change for a “Viksit Bengal.”
The Prime Minister assured that if the NDA comes to power, it will implement six key guarantees, including administrative reforms, strict action against corruption and crimes against women, and accountability in governance. He also promised to ensure welfare benefits for legally recognized refugees while taking strict measures against illegal infiltration. Additionally, the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations for state government employees was highlighted as part of the agenda to restore public trust and strengthen governance in the state.
