“Centre Has No Discrimination Against CM Revanth Reddy” — MP Eatala Rajender

Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender has strongly criticised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that he and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are adopting an approach that is critical of India on global platforms. However, Rajender clarified that the Centre has no discriminatory attitude towards the Telangana Chief Minister and claimed that the state has received more funds than it sought. He also questioned the state government’s decision to display the photographs of Revanth Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy on ration cards while not featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photograph despite the Centre providing five kilograms of rice. Rajender asked whether the government would print new cards again if there is a change in government and cautioned Revanth Reddy against acting with a narrow approach.

Rajender made the remarks after meeting Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju to discuss pending railway and municipal works in the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency and submitting representations on various issues. He said railway projects are now being funded entirely by the Railway Ministry, while state government cooperation remains essential for issuing NOCs and arranging traffic diversions. He said RUBs are proposed at 23 level crossings between Medchal and Secunderabad and urged the state to cooperate with railway station modernisation works. Rajender also highlighted difficulties in taking up development works in three municipalities in his constituency, stating that uncertainty over payments has discouraged contractors from participating in tenders. He said central funds are available under urban and rural housing schemes but the state must apply for them. He further stated that the Centre would extend full support to Metro Phase-I and Phase-II and urged improvements in Hyderabad’s roads, drainage systems, street lighting and basic civic amenities.
