BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has strongly criticised the Congress government, alleging that it has failed to fulfil its key election promises even after completing 1,000 days in office. He said the Congress had promised to implement the six guarantees and other major commitments within 100 days of coming to power, but had allegedly failed to deliver on them even after 1,000 days. KTR urged the party cadre to prepare for a comprehensive campaign against what he described as the government’s ineffective administration.
KTR held a teleconference on Friday with BRS MLAs, former MLAs, former ministers, MPs, district presidents and state executive committee members to discuss the party’s protest strategy. He directed the cadre to organise statewide protests for a week from September 2 and highlight the alleged failure to implement the 420 election promises and six guarantees. Senior leaders, MLAs and former ministers have been asked to lead the protests, while Telangana Bhavan will coordinate and monitor the programmes across the state.
