As the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign enters its final stretch, the absence of key political leaders has become the main talking point in Telangana politics.
Although BRS Chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is officially listed as a star campaigner, he has yet to hit the campaign trail. With no signs of his participation before the campaign ends today, the responsibility has been entirely handed over to K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), who has been actively leading the party’s efforts with back-to-back public meetings and rallies.
On the BJP side, the scenario isn’t much different. Despite earlier announcements that Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai, Andhra Pradesh President Purandeswari, and Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma would join the campaign, none have made an appearance so far. Sources suggest they may be awaiting final directions from the party high command.
With the campaign concluding today, the absence of these top leaders is sparking mixed reactions among voters and raising questions about the intensity of both parties’ election strategies.
