Former YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy has released an open letter making serious allegations about the party’s internal affairs. He alleged that a faction within the YSRCP was running a social media campaign portraying him as a “traitor”. Reddy said he had never betrayed Y.S. Jagan and claimed that his loyalty to the YSRCP chief was one of the reasons he was named as an accused in several cases. He also alleged that conspiracies and humiliation against him increased within the party after 2020.
Reddy further alleged that Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy acted as an extra-constitutional authority during the YSRCP government and claimed that ministers were prevented from meeting Jagan. He said senior leaders and party workers were placed in a situation where they had to work under Sajjala’s leadership. Reddy reiterated that he had resigned from the YSRCP and his Rajya Sabha position and was now starting a new political party. His letter has triggered fresh political discussion, with some netizens saying that “the game has begun.”
