As the counting for the Bihar Assembly elections continues, the NDA is clearly in a strong position, crossing the majority mark of 122 seats. The alliance is now leading in over 160 constituencies, showing a decisive trend in its favor.
Right from the beginning of the counting process, NDA candidates have held the lead in most seats, matching the predictions made by exit polls. As per the latest figures, the NDA is ahead in 162 constituencies, while the Mahagathbandhan is leading in 76 seats.
The current trends indicate that the Mahagathbandhan is likely to remain in the opposition once again, while the NDA appears set to retain power in Bihar.
Party-wise situation:
JDU: Leading in 76 seats — CM Nitish Kumar’s party is on track to emerge as the single largest party.
BJP: Leading in 64 seats
RJD: Leading in 59 seats — continues as the main opposition force.
Congress: Leading in only 15 seats
Overall, the voting pattern shows clear support for the NDA, led by PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. The Mahagathbandhan’s allegations and criticisms seem to have failed to convince the voters. Tejashwi Yadav’s hopes of forming the government appear to be fading.
Political analysts expect a clearer picture of the results by 1 PM.
