Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has served India continuously for 12 years as an elected leader, has set another record by completing 100 foreign visits since taking office. His latest week-long Europe tour marked this milestone achievement in India’s diplomatic history.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office website, Modi’s first official foreign visit as Prime Minister was to Bhutan from June 15–16, 2014. Since then, he has visited 78 countries as the Prime Minister of India, strengthening global relations and India’s international presence.
During his tenure, Modi made 49 foreign visits in his first term and 27 in his second term. With the recent G7 Summit participation, he will return to India on June 18, marking his 24th foreign visit in the current term and completing the 100-visit milestone.
