Lunch Motion on KCR Farmhouse Issue in High Court

A lunch motion petition was filed in the High Court in connection with the ‘purification with turmeric water’ issue at KCR’s farmhouse. The High Court directed the authorities not to arrest the accused in the case and ordered them to issue notices and proceed with the investigation.

The court questioned how arrests could be made in a case registered under sections carrying a punishment of less than seven years. The High Court also made strong observations, questioning how the accused could be arrested despite the Supreme Court guidelines directing that arrests should not be made in such cases.
