The Telangana government has announced another festive gift for Singareni workers ahead of Diwali. Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the Diwali Performance Linked Reward Bonus will be credited to employees’ bank accounts on November 5. A total amount of approximately ₹419 crore will be distributed, with eligible workers receiving a maximum bonus of ₹1,10,250 each. The minister has directed the Singareni management to make the necessary arrangements. This announcement comes shortly after the workers received nearly ₹600 crore as a profit-sharing bonus for Dussehra. Bhatti Vikramarka said the state government is committed to the planned development and expansion of Singareni, which plays a significant role in powering the state.
The bonus will benefit approximately 38,000 workers covered under the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA) and will not apply to officers. Workers who completed at least 190 working days in underground mines or 240 working days in open-cast and surface divisions during the previous financial year will receive the full bonus. Those with fewer working days will receive a proportionate amount based on their attendance. A minimum of 30 working days is required to qualify. Singareni CMD Dr. Buddha Prakash Jyoti has instructed the concerned officials to ensure that the amount is credited to workers’ accounts on November 5. With both Dussehra and Diwali bonuses, workers are expected to receive an average of approximately ₹2.65 lakh each.
