The Formula E race funds transfer case has taken another significant turn in Telangana politics. The Telangana High Court has issued interim orders directing the parties to maintain the status quo regarding the notices served by the Regional Passport Office (RPO) to BRS Working President and former minister K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) concerning his passport. The court's order came after KTR challenged the passport authorities' notices through a petition.
As part of its investigation into the Formula E race case, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had reportedly written to the Regional Passport Office, seeking action to take custody of KTR’s passport. Acting on the ACB’s request, passport authorities issued notices to him. KTR subsequently approached the High Court, challenging the notices. After hearing his petition, the court ordered the parties to maintain the status quo and issued notices to the ACB and passport authorities, who are respondents in the case. The court adjourned the next hearing to November 6. The interim order has provided temporary relief to KTR in the passport-related matter.
