Controversial Telugu Film Hushar Pittalu Now on OTT..

Telugu youth romantic drama Hushar Pittalu landed in controversy even before its theatrical release. The film’s teaser drew criticism on social media over its bold romantic scenes, double-meaning dialogues and intimate content involving teenage characters. The debate, however, also generated considerable curiosity around the film. Starring Ansh Thorat and Vasavi Ganesan, the movie was released in theatres on August 15, 2026, and went on to become a hit despite being made on a controlled budget.

Directed by Bikshu, Hushar Pittalu combines teenage romance and comedy with themes such as peer pressure, smartphone usage and the influence of online content. K. Venkat Yadav produced the film under Rudra Kranti Pictures, while Asian Suresh Entertainment handled its distribution. Sunitha Manohar, Anji Valguman, Govardhan Reddy (Govardhan BK) and Ramesh Nakirekanti are part of the supporting cast. Following its theatrical success, the film has now premiered on Amazon Prime Video, where its bold treatment and themes will be exposed to a much wider OTT audience.
