BRS leader Kavitha has demanded that the Chief Minister issue a clear statement on the Swachh Auto workers and the garbage collection system as the government introduces the Cure and Municipal Laws Amendment Bills in the Assembly. She urged the government to announce the withdrawal of its decision to collect garbage collection charges along with property tax.
Kavitha also demanded clarity on whether garbage collection would be handed over to a large corporate company. She said the government should clearly state that garbage collection would continue under the existing system through Swachh Autos. She warned that if the Chief Minister fails to clarify the issue, a large-scale agitation would be launched with around 40,000 Swachh Auto workers.
