Two Thrillers, Two Release Updates.. ‘418’ Postponed, ‘Immortal’ Set for Telugu Release

Horror thriller ‘418 The Film’, which generated curiosity with its trailer, has been postponed from its scheduled September 18 theatrical release. Directed by Kirtan Gowda, the film features Surya Raj, Charan Lakkaraju and Preethi Pagadala in key roles. The project is presented by filmmaker Prashanth Neel, while Mythri Movie Makers is handling its Telugu release. The production house has now decided to postpone the film with plans to release it in multiple languages.

According to Mythri Movie Makers, the trailer received a strong response, while special screenings were also held for select audiences and industry representatives. The film reportedly received positive feedback from exhibitors in other languages, with Hindi exhibitors showing particular interest in releasing it. The makers said they want to take ‘418’ to a wider audience by bringing it out in Hindi as well and will announce the new release date soon.

Meanwhile, music composer-turned-actor GV Prakash Kumar is set to entertain Telugu audiences with the suspense thriller ‘Immortal’, subtitled ‘Naaku Maranam Ledu’. Directed by Mariyappan Chinna, the film stars Kayadu Lohar as the female lead and is scheduled to release in Telugu on September 19. The movie has already been released in Tamil and has drawn attention for its technical presentation, particularly its VFX and GV Prakash Kumar’s performance.

The makers have now announced the Telugu release on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi and have also unveiled the trailer. The promotional material suggests that ‘Immortal’ blends suspense and thriller elements with romance, promising a different cinematic experience for Telugu viewers.
