K. T. Rama Rao reviewed the implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls during a meeting with the party's specially appointed committee members at Telangana Bhavan. He expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of Booth Level Officers (BLOs), stating that many of them had failed to create adequate awareness among voters about the SIR process. According to KTR, only around 7% of the distributed SIR forms have been submitted so far, making it difficult to complete the remaining 93% before the July 24 deadline.
KTR urged the Election Commission to extend the SIR deadline in view of the prevailing ground-level situation. He also alleged that while the Commission is focusing on duplicate voter entries within districts, it is not adequately addressing cases where the same individual appears on voter lists in multiple states. Stressing that every citizen should have voting rights in only one location, he recalled that the BRS had already submitted a representation to the State Chief Electoral Officer on the issue. KTR further announced that a BRS delegation would soon meet the Central Election Commission in New Delhi to press the same demand. He appreciated the work of the party's Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and said awareness meetings had already been conducted in over 93 Assembly constituencies, with similar programmes to be held in the remaining constituencies soon.
