KTR Counters Revanth Reddy Over KCR Farmhouse Land Claims

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) objected to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s remarks regarding former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse land. KTR said Revanth Reddy had earlier alleged that KCR had a 1,000-acre farmhouse, while the Chief Minister had acknowledged in the Assembly that KCR held only 67 acres. Speaking at a media conference at Telangana Bhavan, KTR demanded that Revanth Reddy apologise to KCR for what he described as repeated allegations.

KTR said his family was ready for an inquiry into its assets and asked whether Revanth Reddy was also prepared for an inquiry into his family’s properties. He said KCR had a strong interest in agriculture and continued farming even while serving as Chief Minister. KTR alleged that legally acquired land was being targeted with accusations and said the BRS would continue to raise issues concerning people affected by Section 22A restrictions. Meanwhile, recent reports said Revanth Reddy ordered an inquiry into land parcels around KCR’s Erravelli farmhouse, including the identification of government and private land.
