Authorities have recovered the bodies of all six people who lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. The remains have been shifted to AIIMS Rishikesh for postmortem examinations. The helicopter crashed near Chai village in the Joshimath region, killing the pilot and five passengers. The incident has triggered concern over aviation safety in the mountainous region, where helicopter services are frequently used for passenger transport and tourism.
Following the accident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami ordered an investigation into the incident. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also initiated a probe to determine the cause of the crash. Investigators are expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the accident and establish what led to the helicopter going down.
