AP Municipal Elections: 37.13% Polling Recorded Across State Till 1 PM

Polling in the Andhra Pradesh municipal elections is progressing peacefully across the state. According to election officials, 37.13% voter turnout was recorded statewide by 1 PM. Markapuram district's Kanigiri Municipality registered the highest polling percentage at 61.86%. Jammalamadugu followed with 61.86%, while Nagari recorded 60.81% turnout.

Among municipal corporations, Vijayawada recorded 36.40% polling, followed by Anantapur with 32.60%, Tirupati with 32.57%, Kadapa with 30.75% and Visakhapatnam with 27.55%. Election officials stated that polling was continuing peacefully across the state, with voters exercising their democratic right.
