The INDIA bloc is holding a major protest rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on November 1, opposing alleged irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls. Ahead of the event, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a special appeal to people travelling to the national capital to participate in the rally. He urged them not only to attend the protest but also to visit local markets and make purchases from small businesses during the festive season. His appeal comes amid concerns raised by traders that the rally could affect their business during the busy shopping period.
The INDIA bloc is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the voter-list revision process. According to the announced programme, the march is scheduled to begin at noon from the Minto Road–Connaught Place junction and proceed towards Ramlila Maidan. Security arrangements have been tightened across Delhi, with police personnel and other security forces deployed to manage the gathering and traffic movement.
