Former Telangana minister and BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on the state government, alleging that he was suspended from the Assembly for raising questions and seeking answers on issues concerning the state. KTR claimed that while the government speaks about development, only the Anumula family had benefited from the growth taking place in Telangana. He further alleged that members of the family had reached a position where they could establish companies in sectors such as aerospace and defence.
KTR also targeted the government over the Future City project. He alleged that the land acquisition carried out during the BRS regime was intended for the proposed Pharma City and questioned the manner in which the land was now being utilised. KTR said the BRS would expose what he described as alleged irregularities and “looting” associated with Future City. He further claimed that the Future City project would not exist in its proposed form in the future. The allegations are part of KTR’s broader criticism of the Congress government’s policies and development initiatives.
