BRS deputy floor leader and former minister T. Harish Rao alleged that the Telangana government was resorting to diversionary politics instead of addressing public issues and the implementation of the six guarantees. Addressing a media conference at Telangana Bhavan, he accused the government of suspending BRS MLAs from the Assembly to avoid questions over its alleged failures. Harish Rao demanded a white paper detailing the lands added to and removed from the Section 22A prohibited list since December 7, 2023.
Harish Rao also demanded an inquiry by a sitting Supreme Court or High Court judge into the 22A land controversy, the Bhu Bharati system and alleged irregularities during the past three years. He said affected landowners were facing difficulties and urged the government to provide a clear resolution instead of merely announcing committees and guidelines. He also sought explanations on alleged irregularities in land registrations and transfers under Bhu Bharati and other land-related matters. The Telangana government and Congress leaders have rejected BRS allegations and said steps are being taken to address errors in the prohibited land list.
