N. Chandrababu Naidu campaigned in Coimbatore in support of National Democratic Alliance candidates, calling on voters to ensure their victory. During his visit, he interacted with local business leaders and professionals, along with NDA candidates contesting from various constituencies in the district, including Vanathi Srinivasan, Amman K. Arjun, K.R. Jayaram, Arun Kumar, and Kandaswamy. He highlighted the longstanding relationship between Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, recalling how water was supplied to Chennai through the Telugu Ganga project during the tenure of N. T. Rama Rao.
Naidu emphasized that river interlinking could further benefit Tamil Nadu by bringing Godavari waters, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is actively working in that direction. He stated that Andhra Pradesh has witnessed rapid development under a “double engine” government and urged voters to support the NDA for similar progress. Criticizing parties like Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Congress, and TMC, he alleged that opposing the Women’s Reservation and Delimitation Bills harmed both women and southern states. He expressed confidence that the AIADMK-BJP alliance would return to power and deliver development.
