Senior Congress leader and Telangana Planning Commission Vice Chairman Jillela Chinna Reddy has made several critical remarks against Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy. Chinna Reddy alleged that the MLA had caused problems for party workers and obstructed developmental activities. He also made strong comments over the way the MLA’s ticket was secured and criticised the construction of the Gopalpet agricultural market yard.
The issue has reportedly reached the Congress high command, with PCC Disciplinary Committee Chairman Mallu Ravi said to have submitted a report recommending action over alleged disciplinary violations. While the controversy involving Konda Surekha is reportedly nearing a resolution, speculation surrounding Chinna Reddy continues. Against this backdrop, Congress circles are discussing the possibility of removing him as Planning Commission Vice Chairman and appointing Telangana Women’s Commission Chairperson Gadwal Vijayalakshmi in his place. However, an official confirmation from the party leadership is awaited.
