AP BJP Chief PVN Madhav Reacts Strongly to Lathi Charge on Mallanna Devotees

Andhra Pradesh BJP president PVN Madhav strongly reacted to the lathi charge on Shiva devotees at Srisailam. He condemned the action reportedly carried out under the direction of an Additional SP and expressed serious concern over the handling of devotees. Madhav urged officials to exercise restraint while dealing with Shaiva devotees, stating that pilgrims who observe Deeksha and carry Irumudis deserve support and respect, not force.

He further criticized the Srisailam Devasthanam management for failing to make adequate arrangements to manage the influx of devotees. Stressing that administrative lapses should not result in hardship to pilgrims, PVN Madhav called for accountability and preventive measures to ensure such incidents do not recur. The AP BJP State Office issued an official statement condemning the incident and seeking corrective action.
