A meeting of Directors General of Police (DGPs) from southern India is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on October 23. The meeting is expected to bring together police chiefs from five states and three Union Territories to discuss key challenges faced by law enforcement agencies and measures to address them effectively.
The discussions are expected to focus on drug trafficking, human trafficking, organised crime and the maintenance of law and order. Coordination among police departments, information sharing and joint efforts to tackle crimes that cross state and regional boundaries are also likely to be important areas of discussion.
