Malla Reddy’s Revolver Remarks Draw Attention During Dasara

Former minister and BRS MLA Chamakura Malla Reddy has drawn attention with his remarks about his revolver during the Dasara festival. He performed Ayudha Puja at his camp office in Boinpally, Hyderabad, on the occasion of Vijayadashami. After offering prayers to the firearm, he shared memories associated with its purchase and ownership. His comments while displaying the revolver have since become a topic of discussion.

Malla Reddy said he purchased the revolver in Singapore in 1986 for just ₹3,000. He clarified that he has kept the firearm for self-defence and stated that he obtained an All India licence for it at the time. According to him, the revolver has remained in his possession and has been kept safely for nearly four decades. His remarks during the traditional Dasara weapon-worship ceremony have attracted attention in political and public circles.
