The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved the second phase of land pooling for the development of the Amaravati capital region. After acquiring 34,000 acres from farmers in the first phase, CRDA is now preparing to pool an additional 16,666.56 acres, bringing the total land collected from farmers to over 50,000 acres. Including government land, Amaravati’s capital region will extend across 74,000 acres.
The second-phase land pooling will cover seven villages, and CRDA will soon issue the official notification. Minister Ponguru Narayana stated that this land is essential for key infrastructure such as the railway station, railway line, sports city, and inner ring road.
Farmers participating in this round will receive plots as per the same guidelines followed during the first phase. The government has also approved a 7,500 crore loan through NaBFID to accelerate Amaravati’s development.
