Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has appealed to Congress MLAs, MPs, MLCs and DCC presidents to strongly respond to the week-long programmes launched by the BRS against the Congress government’s 1,000 days of governance. He alleged that KCR, despite serving as the Leader of the Opposition for 1,000 days, had not participated in Assembly debates even for a single day. Chamala criticised KCR’s political role and urged Congress workers to take the government’s welfare schemes and public governance initiatives to the people.
Chamala further alleged that KCR had failed to fulfil his earlier promise of making a Dalit leader the Chief Minister and accused him of leaving Telangana with a heavy debt burden after nearly a decade in power. He demanded that KCR step down as the Leader of the Opposition and give the opportunity to a Dalit MLA within the BRS. Chamala said the Congress ranks should effectively highlight the government’s achievements during its 1,000 days of governance and counter the opposition’s criticism.
