AIMIM leader Shadab Chauhan has made a significant political remark ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, saying Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav would need the support of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi to strengthen his chances of becoming Chief Minister. Chauhan claimed that Yadav’s political strategy would remain incomplete without Owaisi and advised the SP chief to consider cooperation with the AIMIM to improve his electoral prospects. His remarks come at a time when political parties in Uttar Pradesh are intensifying preparations for the upcoming polls and exploring possible combinations among different social groups.
Chauhan also advised Akhilesh Yadav to focus on consolidating support within his traditional social base, alleging that some members of the community are moving towards the BJP. Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party is seeking to strengthen its political strategy around backward classes, Dalits and minorities. With the Assembly elections approaching, parties across the state are working to bring together different voter groups and strengthen their respective electoral coalitions. Against this backdrop, Chauhan’s comments have added another dimension to the ongoing political discussions in Uttar Pradesh.
