Several Welfare Schemes Implemented in 1,000 Days of Governance: Congress

The Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has given top priority to farmer welfare, education and healthcare during its 1,000 days in office, PCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Minister Vakiti Srihari said. Extending congratulations to the Chief Minister, ministers, public representatives and party workers on reaching the milestone, they highlighted several welfare initiatives implemented by the government. These included farm loan waivers, Rythu Bharosa, Rythu Bima, bonuses for fine rice varieties, free electricity for agriculture, up to 200 units of free domestic power, LPG cylinders at Rs.500 and the issuance of new ration cards. They also said that more than 70,000 government jobs had been filled and work had been initiated to establish 100 Young India Integrated Residential Schools.

Congress leaders said the government had completed the BC caste census and SC categorisation and provided 42 per cent reservation for BCs in local bodies. MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy criticised the main opposition party, alleging that it had not played a constructive role during the government's 1,000-day tenure. Government Whips Vemula Veeresham and Adi Srinivas, along with MLAs Makkan Singh Raj Thakur and Medipally Satyam, said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was delivering one of the country's strongest welfare-focused administrations. They maintained that the government's welfare and development initiatives were benefiting people across Telangana.
