Action Against Two BRS MLCs Referred to Ethics Committee

A resolution seeking action against BRS MLCs T. Madhusudhan and Naveen Reddy over remarks made against Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar has been referred to the Ethics Committee. The resolution was passed in the Assembly on Tuesday and subsequently forwarded to Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy for consideration. After examining the resolution, the Council Chairman referred the matter to the Ethics Committee for further action.

The Assembly resolution also emphasised that public representatives should maintain responsible conduct while holding public office. It further called for BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao to apologise over the remarks made by the two MLCs. The Ethics Committee is now expected to examine the matter and make recommendations regarding any further action against the members.
