Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have held another meeting to discuss seat allocation for the MPTC and ZPTC elections. With consensus yet to be reached on several seats across the state, Pawan Kalyan visited the Chief Minister’s residence for a separate discussion. The meeting assumed significance as the deadline for filing nominations was approaching.
The two leaders reportedly held discussions for around 30 minutes on seat-sharing arrangements among the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena Party and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Aspirants from all three alliance partners have been filing nominations for several constituencies, leading to competition over candidate selection. The leaders focused on resolving differences and reaching a consensus in the disputed areas. Pawan Kalyan had also met Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday to discuss seat allocation for the local body elections.
