

The International Kite and Sweets Festival at Parade Ground in Secunderabad, held as part of the Sankranti celebrations, has entered its third day. The festival, which began on January 13, concludes today. On the final day, large crowds of visitors are queuing up at the Parade Ground. Over the past two days, more than two lakh visitors have already attended the festival. Officials estimate that an even larger number of visitors are expected on the closing day.
Organized by the Telangana Tourism Department under the theme ‘Celebrate the Sky,’ the festival features 40 international kite flyers from 19 countries and 55 national kite flyers from 15 Indian states. They are flying dragons, dolphins, cartoon characters, and other stunning kite designs, captivating the audience. The colorful kites soaring in the sky are a major attraction, along with cultural performances such as Telangana folk dances, musical shows, and folk art. Additionally, the International Sweets Festival offers traditional sweets, handloom, and handicraft stalls from different states and countries, delighting visitors of all ages.
