Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy strongly criticized Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan over his recent remarks on Telangana. The minister said that while people across Telangana were celebrating the State Formation Day, Pawan Kalyan chose to make statements that hurt the sentiments of Telangana citizens. He alleged that Pawan’s comments reflected continued prejudice and hostility toward Telangana and questioned the language used while referring to the state and its people.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated that Telangana was achieved through immense sacrifice and that remarks perceived as disrespectful toward Telangana martyrs would not be accepted. He recalled the struggles, sacrifices, and movements that led to the formation of the state. The minister also expressed concern over what he described as political attempts to create regional divisions and urged leaders to focus on the development of their respective states. He emphasized that Telangana welcomes investments and businesses from all regions, but warned against any statements that undermine the state's identity and self-respect.
