Uttar Pradesh Releases Draft Voter List Under SIR Process

Officials have released the draft electoral roll under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Election Commission, a total of 28.9 million voter names have been removed from the list. Among these, 4.6 million voters were identified as deceased.

As per the Election Commission’s data, Uttar Pradesh currently has 125.6 million registered voters. At the time when the SIR process began in October last year, the number stood at 154.4 million.
